HashBackup can be downloaded from the bottom of this page and is ready to run when the tar file is expanded, making it easy to test drive.  It is statically linked, other than standard system libraries like libc, so there is no need to change or install system software or dependencies.  For SSL (secure) download, go to https://sites.google.com/site/hashbackup/download.  Making this a link doesn't switch to SSL with Google Sites.  Links below are for BSD 32/64 bits, Linux 32/64bits, and OSX.

Beta versions of HashBackup expire quarterly on the 15th of January, April, July, and October.
Use hb upgrade to get the latest version and extend the expiration date.
IMPORTANT: You can always access your backup data after the expiration date:
everything continues to work except the backup command.

NOTE:
On Linux, an immediate "not found" error may occur if the wrong version (32-bit vs 64-bit) of HashBackup is installed for your system.
