The beta version of HashBackup can be downloaded from the bottom of this page and is ready to run when the tar file is expanded, making it
easy to test drive. It is statically linked, other than standard
system libraries like libc, so you don't need to change any system software. Beta versions of HashBackup expire quarterly. This beta expires September 15th. After the expiration date, everything continues to work except the backup command. You can still access your backup data after the expiration date. Use hb upgrade to update your beta copy to the latest version and expiration date. IMPORTANT: On a 64-bit Linux system, you may get a "not found" error if the 32-bit version of HashBackup is installed without the Linux 32-bit compatibility libraries. Either use the 64-bit version, or install the 32-bit compatibility libraries for your system. |
